Q: How early should I book my session?
A: You really can't book too early so as soon as you know you want
portraits go ahead and get on the schedule. You're more likely to
get the date and time you want if you plan ahead.
Q: When should I schedule for a newborn session?
A: Newborn sessions should be done within the first two weeks of
life. Give me a call and let me know your due date, preferably in
your second trimester, so we can put you on the schedule a week or
two after your due date. Don't worry, if your baby decides to come
a little early or late we'll adjust as needed.
Q: Why do you like newborns to be under two weeks old?
A: Newborns are typically sleepier and more easy to mold and work
with when they are brand new.
Q: What should we wear?
A: For family sessions it is best to wear coordinating clothing but
not matching clothing (i.e. everyone in the same color shirt). Select
two to four colors that coordinate and compliment each other well.
Then dress each family member in different outfits within the that
color scheme. Be sure that the clothing you choose is something you
are comfortable in. If you feel uncomfortable you'll likely look
uncomfortable.
Q: What should we expect at the session?
A: I prefer you view the session as a fun outting rather than getting
pictures taken. Try to be calm and relaxed. My favorite portraits are
those that show genuine connections and often happen once everyone is
comfortable. I don't bite, I promise.
Q: What does the session fee include?
A: The session fee covers my time and talent and an online gallery of
at least 20 finished images. Prints and products are purchased
separately.
Q: Do you sell digital copies of the portraits?
A: Yes! For details on pricing please email me at
ashlie.hilton@gmail.com for a full price list. Digital negatives are
high resolution and come with a print release.
